Residential Assessments
Residential Assessments
Having gained a wealth of knowledge of New Zealand housing stock, particularly in the Canterbury region, we’re well placed for conducting a range of structural assessments and can tailor our levels of reporting to suit your needs ranging from brief walkthroughs to full forensic assessments.
On-Sold reports
Given the recent history of inadequate earthquake damage repairs Finesse have been involved in reassessing such repairs along with identifying any missed damage. Finesse have been engaged by homeowners, EQC, and GCCRS in providing assessments of recently purchased dwellings. Whether you’re buying a home and want a pre-purchase residential building inspection, or you’ve applied for the Government On-Sold support package and need your property assessing for earthquake damage, then our team of Structural Engineers can help.
Insurance reports
We have been engaged by all the major NZ insurance providers to assist in assessing earthquake damage. We pride ourselves on our independence laying out our views and the information these are based upon regardless of who the outcome may favour. Many of these reports have formed the basis for legal proceedings, with Finesse providing support throughout the entire process. Our assessments and reports will confirm the structural condition of your property along with advice on any necessary steps to resolve any issues that we uncover.
