Forensic Investigations
Since 2010, Canterbury has been impacted by a sequence of earthquakes, which in turn has impacted the assessment of damage to both residential and commercial buildings. The knowledge base surrounding the structural impact of earthquakes on buildings has expanded.
Finesse have been at the forefront of assessing the damage to buildings by utilising forensic assessment skills to interpret the impact of liquefaction and earthquake shaking damage.
Our staff have been involved in hundreds of seismic assessments of buildings and structures which means we now have a wealth of knowledge to draw upon when investigating your property.
Finesse have an established reliable network of specialists who regularly provide services, as required, to better understand the effects of the earthquake sequences.
We have also provided forensic investigation services on non-earthquake matters such as retaining wall failures and other natural disaster damage.
